Charlotte Hamblin is a writer, director and actor known for dark, female-led stories laced with acerbic and zany wit.
As a screenwriter, she is currently in development on several TV projects, including The Commandments with Olivia Colman/South of the River, The Close with Keeley Hawes/Buddy Club and Death Do Us Part with Mark Gordon Pictures and The 12 Dates of Christmas with Christine Langan/Federation.
She directed her debut short film Everybody Dies Sometimes in 2022 starring Tanya Reynolds and Mathew Horne that won Best British Short at the British Short Film Awards and screened at Tribeca.
In 2024, she directed The Booker Prizes series of extracts featuring stars including Dua Lipa, Tobias Menzies, and Eleanor Tomlinson and amassing 15 million views across social media.
