In 2018 Merman launched Mermade, its creator-focused sister company, fostering and developing emerging and diverse talent from across the globe. With an eye toward incubating the next generation of storytellers, Mermade works across proof of concepts, short films/series, feature films, podcasts, scripted and unscripted series. Upcoming credits include People Who Knew Me, a podcast for BBC Sounds, and Sisters, a 1/2-hour comedy from Sarah Goldberg and Susan Stanley airing on IFC, RTE, and Crave this spring. Kira Carstensen, Global Managing Partner of Merman, leads all efforts for Mermade in the US and UK, Joshua Buckingham is the UK Managing Director, and Melanie Donkers runs development for Mermade USA.
