Rachel Stubbings

Director, writer and actress Rachel Stubbings brings a rare blend of comedic wit, dramatic depth and cross‑disciplinary creativity to each of her projects.

With a background in stand-up, she is a respected name on the British comedy circuit, having written, directed and collaborated with multiple comedians including Diane Morgan, Jen Bristers, Sally Phillips, Ronni Ancona and Lou Sanders.

Whether on screen, behind the lens or in a writer’s room, Rachel’s strength lies in her messy yet relatable characters, grounded performances and perspective humour that’s anchored in emotional honesty.

In the commercial space, she has co-directed campaigns for brands including Freely, Landsec and BP, alongside directing a short film for Women’s Aid’s 50th anniversary that amassed over 15 million impressions online, won multiple awards (including two Gold British Arrows) and significantly raised awareness of the warning signs of domestic abuse and coercive control.

Alongside furthering her own career, Rachel also dabbles in academia, heading up the Writing & Producing Comedy course at The National Film & Television school to identify and develop the next generation of emerging talent.
