Merman tapped into its pool of TV talent to develop and produce an original six-part, five-minute scripted comedy series starring Jillian Bell. Long-time Merman collaborator and rostered director, John Riggi, came onboard to showrun given his experience writing, directing, and producing for 30 Rock, The Other Two, and 2 Broke Girls. The entire process was run like a traditional TV sitcom, with agency and client effectively playing the role of studio and network. Merman assembled a diverse writer’s room and broke each episode along with Jillian’s character arc over the series. A stellar cast and crew, blended from the worlds of episodic comedy and commercials, were brought together to ensure the final piece felt entertainment-lead while highlighting key brand messages and sales priorities. Having amassed over 9m online views, the team was reunited for a one-off holiday special.
