Erica Dunton

Erica is an award-winning and celebrated director. Her five features and multiple TV episodes have won over twelve international awards including the BEST of NEXT Audience award at SUNDANCE for her feature film, TO.GET.HER, and she is twice nominated for the DGA awards in Outstanding Achievement in Comedy for her work on two seasons of TED LASSO.

Erica started taking and developing photos at the age of twelve with a Nikon EM camera and a set of lens that her father made for her. Joe Dunton BSC, MBE is a BAFTA-winning cinematographer and legendary camera and lens technician who invented the video assist in 1968.

She has written, directed, and produced multiple award-winning features. Her first feature film Find Love successfully premiered at “Slamdance,” where it was picked up for distribution by Lionsgate/Maple and won several awards including the ‘Best Independent Vision’ at Sarasota Film Festival. Her second feature The 27 Club premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and also won many awards including, ‘Best Script, Film, and Director’ at the Milan Film Festival. Her third feature To.get.her won the ‘Best of Next Audience’ Award and also the ‘Best Fiction Film’ at Sarasota FF and ‘Best American Indie’ at RiverRun FF. Erica’s latest feature Abigail Falls stars Jazzy De Lisser and Billy Baldwin.

Her recent television credits include multiple seasons of the highly successful Ted Lasso for showrunner Bill Lawrence who brought in her to direct on “Bad Monkey. ” Two seasons of Max´s Julia, and the final 3 episodes of Season 1 of Amazon’s The Summer I Turned Pretty for Jenny Han, plus multiple episodes of Peacock’s Vampire Academy and Girls on The Bus for Julie Plec. In both 2022 and 2023 she was nominated for a DGA award for Outstanding Achievement in directing Comedy for her Ted Lasso episodes RAINBOW and LA LOCKER ROOM AUX FOLLES.
