Peter Glanz is a British American writer/director based out of New York and Los Angeles. He just completed a script about the whirlwind life of Jean-Michel Basquiat entitled ‘SAMO LIVES’ with Julius Onah directing, Kelvin Harrison starring, and Endeavor Content producing. And is currently in post-production on his upcoming film ‘SAVAGE HOUSE’, an absurdist satire about a family of social-climbers in 18th century England – starring Richard E. Grant and Tom Burke. He also recently adapted the novel ‘CHOPIN AND BEYOND’ for Paramount with Martin Scorsese attached to direct and produce. Additionally, Peter’s currently writing ‘ONLY THE LONELY’, a sci-fi noir romance for JJ Abrams’ Bad Robot and Paramount. His script ‘THE ZHIVAGO AFFAIR’ (based on the best-selling book of the same title) is currently in development with Willem Dafoe & Joanna Kulig starring. Previously, Peter wrote ‘RACE TO THE SOUTH POLE’, which is set up at Warner Brothers with Pearl Street Pictures (Ben Affleck and Matt Damon) producing and Oscar-winner Casey Affleck attached to star.
After his short ‘RELATIONSHIP IN FOUR DAYS’ premiered in Cannes and Sundance, Peter made his feature debut with ‘THE LONGEST WEEK’ starring Jason Bateman and Olivia Wilde, which was released in 2014. On the television front, Peter recently set up ‘AMERICAN THRONE’ at UCP with Esmail Corp producing and Julius Onah co-writing & directing.
Peter has directed numerous commercials for iconic brands such as DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger, Carolina Herrera, Marc Jacobs, RAM, YSL, Swarovski, and Sonos (ft. Suki Waterhouse), as well as the music video for Carly Rae Jepson’s video ‘I REALLY LIKE YOU’ starring Tom Hanks, which has over 280 million views.
