MAMI is a director duo. Soraya and Casey have been collaborating on dance-based visuals for over a decade. They share an obsessive eye for cleanliness and a master-level performance in everything that they create. Together they have developed and executed everything from fashion campaigns to music videos that feature professional movers. In 2022 their dance film “Together, One Time” 5oth Anniversary Dance on Camera Festival 2022 at Lincoln Center.
Born and bred in Queens, Soraya Lundy is a renowned Movement Director and Choreographer who has collaborated with celebrities including Cardi B. and childhood icons Janet Jackson and Missy Elliott. With a Caribbean background, Soraya incorporates her culture in her work whenever possible. She created the Banji Twerk Team, whose mission is to lift each other up and empower each other through movement. Soraya has worked extensively in the fashion industry giving movement direction for fashion shows and campaigns including Balmain, Harper’s Bazaar, and H&M.
Filmmaker Casey Brooks began her visual career shooting stills of friends in her dance community. As her photographic technique developed so did her keen eye for movement and motion imagery. With this manner of visual storytelling, Casey has created pieces for top fashion, beauty and luxury brands. Her current client list includes Fendi, Net-A-Porter, Rimmel London, Stuart Weitzman, Nowness, Harpers Bazaar and Vogue.
