Savage House Trailer Arrives: Peter Glanz’s 18th-Century Satire Starring Richard E. Grant and Claire Foy
30 March, 2026
The first trailer for Savage House is here, offering a delicious first look at the darkly comic period film written and directed by Merman’s own Peter Glanz. The film stars Richard E. Grant as Sir Chauncey Savage and Claire Foy as Lady Savage, a wealthy 18th-century couple scheming for social advancement against a backdrop of pox outbreaks, Jacobite uprisings, and plenty of aristocratic chaos.
Described as “a timely and darkly satirical story” filled with duels, decadence, and bloodshed, Savage House plays gleefully with questions of class and power in a period setting. The ensemble cast also includes Bel Powley, Jack Farthing, Kila Lord Cassidy, Richard McCabe, Vicki Pepperdine, and Pip Torrens — a remarkable group assembled around Glanz’s sharp, subversive script.
The film is set for release in June 2026, distributed by Paramount Pictures. It’s a thrilling showcase for Peter Glanz’s singular voice, and we couldn’t be more excited to see it reach audiences.
