Merman was founded in 2014 by award-winning duo Sharon Horgan and Clelia Mountford. In the past year the production company has released There She Goes Series 2 – starring Jessica Hynes, who won a BAFTA award for her performance in the first series, Motherland Series 2, Frayed – written by and starring Sarah Kendall who was nominated for a BAFTA for her performance and This Way Up – written by and starring Aisling Bea who won the BAFTA Breakthrough Talent award in 2020.
