Nicole Ackermann

Nicole is a natural storyteller. Her work is characterised by its emotive arcs, considered casting and immersive visual style. She kickstarted her career writing and directing for theatre, followed on by a creative stint at TBWA/Hunt/Lascaris before making her first foray into directing commercials.

Nicole is consistently drawn to scripts with powerful integrity, pertinent messaging and techniques that challenge her creativity. Since joining Merman, her reel has developed in strength, collaborating with major brands including Lexus, Guinness, Whirlpool, Gillette and Samsung amongst many others.

Nicole currently resides in Cape Town, South Africa.
