Holly Walsh is a BAFTA winning comedian, director, writer and executive producer, arguably best known for writing and exec’ing the acclaimed BBC sitcoms Motherland and Amandaland. Her career began in stand-up comedy, notably growing in public recognition due to her witty and perceptive appearances on shows such as Mock The Week, Would I Lie To You and Live At The Apollo.
As a director, Holly has directed key episodes of punchy UK comedy drama including The Other One, Henpocalypse! and Only Child starring actors such as Lauren Socha, Siobhan Finneran, Ellie White and Danny Dyer. She is also rumoured to be directing the third season of Amandaland after the amble success of its 2025 Christmas Special.
In the writing world, she has also leant her comedic charm to films including Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget and Wallace and Gromit’s: Vengeance Most Fowl.
