Feature Film From Prolific TV and Movie Director To Shoot In Wilmington This Summer

An English filmmaker with a long history in Wilmington will shoot her latest feature here this summer.

Erica Dunton — who has directed episodes of numerous well-known TV shows including “Outer Banks,” “Ted Lasso” and Wilmington-shot Amazon Prime Video hit “The Summer I Turned Pretty” — will start shooting her latest feature film, “Pretty Ugly,” in Wilmington June 2, according to a notice from Kimmie Stewart Casting seeking “adult background actors of all ages.”
