MERMAN RECEIVES 2 RTS CRAFT & DESIGN NOMINATIONS

The RTS Craft & Design nominations were announced this morning and Merman Television received two nominations.

Simon Hynd was nominated in the category of Best Director – Comedy Drama/Situation Comedy for There She Goes Series 2. The other nominees in this category are Tom George for This Country Series 3 and Ella Jones for Enterprice Series 2.

Simon has directed both series of There She Goes and was previously a winner at the 2019 RTS Scotland Awards for directing There She Goes Series 1There She Goes Series 1 was also nominated for the Best Comedy-Drama series at the 2019 C21 International Drama Awards, the 2019 TV Choice Awards and Jessica Hynes won the Female Performance in a Comedy Award at the 2019 BAFTA Television Awards. Both series of There She Goes have received rave reviews from audiences and critics alike. There She Goes Series 2 is available to watch in the UK on BBC iPlayer and in the US & Canada on BritBox.

Sheldon Wade was nominated in the category of Make Up Design – Entertainment & Non Drama for his work on Frayed. The other nominees in this category are Kate Roberts & Team for In My Skin and Marcos Gurgel for Dancing On Ice.

Frayed was previously nominated for 5 2019 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards and Sarah Kendall was nominated in the Female Performance in a Comedy Programme category in the 2020 BAFTA Television Awards. Frayed received international acclaim and is available to watch in the UK on Now TV and in the US on HBO Max.

The RTS Craft & Design Awards will be celebrated on Monday 23rd November on the RTS website with special guest appearances.
