Last night the Virgin TV British Academy Television Awards 2018 ceremony was held at the Royal Festival Hall, hosted by Sue Perkins.
BAFTA TV this year introduced a new category for Best Short Form Programme for which Merman’s Sky Arts comedy short Morgana Robinson’s Summer: Dream Land took home the award! Morgana Robinson, Sharon Horgan, Clelia Mountford, Jane Bell and our very own MJ Delaney attended the ceremony to collect the award.
Morgana Robinson’s Summer: Dream Land was a Merman produced short for Sky Arts’ Summer Shorts season. Written by Sharon Horgan, produced by Jane Bell the short features Morgana Robinson, Sheridan Smith, Gabby Best, Aimee Ffion Edwards, Frances Barber and Peter Singh. Morgana Robinson’s Summer: Dream Land was directed by Merman represented director MJ Delaney who signed with Merman at the launch of our new branded entertainment division. Sharon Horgan and Clelia Mountford served as executive producers.

Amongst the remaining awards Merman shows received three additional nominations; Scripted Comedy for Catastrophe and Female Performance in a Comedy for Anna Maxwell Martin’s performance in Motherland and Sharon Horgan’s performance in Catastrophe.
