Sharon Horgan Named Keynote Speaker at SXSW London 2026
06 April, 2026
Sharon Horgan, the award-winning writer, performer, and co-founder of Merman, has been announced as a keynote speaker at SXSW London 2026. She will join Russell T Davies and Tom Quinn as part of the festival’s Screen Festival programme, which brings together leading figures from film and television to discuss the future of screen storytelling.
SXSW London runs from 1–6 June 2026 in Shoreditch, and the Screen Festival sits at the heart of the event’s creative industry programming. Horgan’s keynote is expected to draw on her remarkable career spanning Bad Sisters, Catastrophe, and her ongoing slate of projects at Merman — which includes the upcoming HBO comedy series Youth, in which she stars, writes, and executive produces, as well as Netflix’s Vladimir and the BBC One hit Amandaland.
The announcement adds further momentum to an already landmark year for Merman. Amandaland has received four BAFTA Television Award nominations, Youth is currently in production with a growing ensemble cast, and Peter Glanz’s Savage House is set for UK theatrical release on 5 June 2026 via Paramount Pictures. Sharon Horgan’s keynote at SXSW London will be one to watch.
